About the Project
Gaia is an Ahmedabad-based interior design and styling practice focused on creating considered, characterful spaces through spatial design, styling and thoughtful product curation.
The brief was to create a logo identity that reflected Gaia’s approach to interiors as lived spaces, where people, furniture and objects come together to shape the character of a room.
The logo was developed from the idea of human interaction with furniture and objects within an interior space. Its custom-drawn letterforms explore proportion, form and movement, creating an identity that feels spatial and tactile rather than purely typographic.
The logo identity uses an earthy terracotta as its primary colour, drawing from the warmth and familiarity of Indian colour palettes. This reflects the founder’s intent to create contemporary spaces that carry a subtle sense of India through their choice of furniture, objects and decor, without feeling overtly traditional. The identity was extended across brand stationery to create a cohesive language across Gaia’s touchpoints.
